Early on the 20th we got a mini-bus form vang vieng to vientiane and then a plane to hanoi! Hanoi turned out to be madness! we got conned on our first night, couldn't find anywhere to eat (and you can't cross the road). We managed to find a cute little restaurant and had a good meal which cheered us up! the next day we did a day trip to halong bay.....amazing! it took 3 and a half hours to get there but it was worth it. the weather was beautiful and we did a boat trip around the bay had lunch on the boat and went to some caves! the evening was also good and found a really good restaurant/cafe called gecko! We got up early on the 22nd and managed to book a flight to a place further south called nha trang....we need a beach aaaahhh!
