well well well.... chelle and i arrived in chiang mai on thursday after a 13 hour train journey overnight! the train wasn't too bad but we were babies and slept in the same bed which was hilarious! we woke up at 1 in the morning in hysterics! when we first got here chaing mai wasn't at all how we expected as there's bits dotted all over the place and just completely different to bangkok (lots of old men!) Anyway the first day we just mooched and also forgot the name and no idea of the road of our guest house but made it back eventually. Friday and saturday we went trekking-yes I know can you imagine! in the morning we went elephant trekking which was good fun but as you can imagine there was a lot of screaming coming from our direction. we then went trekking which was actually hiking and soooo hard! we stopped at a waterfall then more hiking and then stayed which a hill tribe-all 10 of us in some hut thing camp fire the whole shabang! next day was more hiking up the steepest hill and i thought i was dying! but we made it and it was definately worth it (even without being able to wear make-up for 2 days) we finished by rafting-again hilarious. So in the end i didn't die and neither did chelle but we were bitten to shreds and fell a few times (me alot)! today we did a thai cookery course which was really good (waitrose flashbacks) and got ourselves a little certificate. Oh and met some lovely girls we were trekking with and found a wicked bob marley bar last night so all in all a goo time. Off to Laos tomo so more travelling flight and train adventures!
