Alman: We arrived in Siem Reap after another long, continual-honking and boring bus trip, counting down now how many more of these we would have to suffer! We were picked up by a friend of our tour guide in Mondulkiri, who took us straight to a suitable hostel for us to stay and was full of promises for the next 3 day's trip to the temples …

Good to talk to you yesterday, and great to hear that Mister Richter has come up with the goods to allow you the ultimate in luxury in Bali at the end of your long travels. Enjoy the final days of the holiday, work on those tans, and I look forward to hearing more in the fullness of time. GREAT weekend in Phuket, by the way, fun to see the pair of you in such good form xx

Just back from sailing in Turkey - great success - lots of firsts for us - managed a gale force wind, Ed and Adam returned from clubs of Marmaris on last night at 4am!!! We watched lovely chubby Turkish ladies baking bread in open cave fire ovens - definitely looking forward to our own beds tonight. Can't believe that our family holiday appears to have been rougher than your so called back packers tour! Well done girls - so excited about seeing you in 7 days!

Typing this message as the last action today in my office before I head to the airport to fly to Bangkok. Will then catch a connecting flight tomorrow (Saturday) to Phuket, where I hope to see you girls around noon at the bar or round the pool in the Avantika hotel - my flight arrives at 11.15 am.
Your description of Siam Reap & Angkor Wat brought a smile to my face and reminded me of when mum and I were there. Did you find the bar that sold the Angelina Jolie cocktails? Not sure about the description of activities with the "Yale Boys" - full investigation needed tomorrow. Tomorrow? Yee-hah! xxx
(By the way, will be bringing brand new "Chevron caps" out for you for the last leg of your trip in Bali, where sadly there won't be a Chevron contact, although you'll have Pater Richter to fall back on)

Still waiting for photos of Mike Tyson! Now back in cambridge where the weather has collapsed and it is like autumn there is so much rain. Dad has returned to China, Ed to work in London and Charlie is still sleeping. Excitement of the weekend was that at the Open on Saturday he offered a pretty girl some shelter under his umbrella while he waited for Dad outside the R&A tent - she turned out to be Pippa Middleton.

Best entry yet from Cambodia - loved the sound of Mike Tyson - I wonder whether Nap sang to drown out the chatter?! Great to glimpse Wilson parents and say THANK YOU for all Chevron contacts - hope you made notes on gaining employment with them!!!
Now starting to think about taking very little to flotilla holiday in Turkey - Lottie survived Firbush and looks so well - now loves wind surfing in sheltered areas, as an alternative to golf and would give Firbush 7/10!! Ed sleeping, golfing and a little work for Ginger Snap. Granny and Grandpa both worried about your livers - Enjoy and keep up with the blogs !xxxxx

Bonjour from St Tropez,
All sounds pretty good fun and glad to hear all is well. Fraser's birthday today so off to Tahiti beach and out for dinner. As its July 14th, he thinks Bastille celebrations are his birthday celebrations.
Looking forward to hearing the unedited version of events and the dvd on your return.
Glad you are having the time of your life.

The next time anyone uses that tiresome phrase about "the elephant in the room" I can direct them to your blog. Beat that, it made my day reading about your day (even tho I did cycle to work). Does Steve Glick wear a Rolex ? Can we see a pic of Mike Tyson ?

Interesting to note that the photo album now displaying the inevitable mix of Boys 'n Booze! Hmm....no change there, then! Glad to hear that the Chavron contacts are enabling a five star, red carpet backpacking tour round South East Asia - well done Mister Glick. Looking forward to catching up with the pair of you myself in Phuket the weekend after next. For now, in what no doubt feels like a million miles away, am enjoying Elie Beach and glorious weather on the East Neuk of Fife with mum, grannie and the Hardies. Keep going girls, and stay safe. I am loving the adventures of hatmanalman (I won't mention the word spelt out in the middle).
The photos are brilliant, I'm glad you're holding back on the naked ones (I'm assuming there has been some skinny dipping?!).
Very jealous of you both. Make the most of everything and keep up the blogs xxxxx

Recovering from the Leaver's Ball last night and the kitchen floor is invisable as there is SOOOO much washing! Both Ed (amsterdam) and Charlie (cornwall) have now departed on cricket tour! Dad sipping a rescue bloody mary and watching the tennis and I am summoning the energy to put up the ironing board. Oh how I miss Ping! Not sure how long my glorious expat-wife nails will last.
Saw Lucy Matthews and told her that you guys were in Vietnam hope that you might have managed to find Hannah. Off to Elie on Tuesday. XXX

Good morning girls - beautiful sunny edinburgh here! Just had a panic call from Carol Yarrow regarding Lucy who is in your area travelling and her friend has had an accident and will no longer be travelling with her. Therefore Mum is concerned and in particular about The Full Moon party for a single girl! Lucy can be contacted by her Facebook or email [email protected] or 00841222506350 - so it may be a case of Hatmanalman to the rescue!!

Loving all updates, glad to hear you're not 'over - roughing it' ! I am wondering if Hat's tummy has settled down yet?! Possibly a day or two without any rescue G & Ts may help - just an idea. Term at both schools almost over here - thank goodness, Ed returned from D of E with a deep tan - possibly some competition girls. Lennie's birthday lunch was lovely and I won some money at the races - what fun. Now all we can think of is Murray v Nadal this afternoon - I think he can do it, fingers crossed.
Gillian Brewer and Kirsty Baird told me a horror story of a pal of Toms in Lau at the river? If you're going there be very careful - gillian says there are no laws and its chaos!! I wonder if you will bump into any of the huge number of Scottish people travelling like you - it seems every second person aged 18 - 22 is in SE Asia. All for now, loads of love to both LLNH xx
