After a conversation with Sheena the night before about the Cuban tourist visa, I thought I will phone the Cuban consulate to check, this was around 10.00am. To my shock I was told that I had to get a tourist card and the consulate will close at 12.30pm on that day for the holidays. Quickly, phones Tan & Claire and no reply. I then got the address from the website and headed out. I had a call from Tan and told him the situation and said he will meet me there.
The address I got was at Holland Park and I got there around 11.20am and waited for tan outside the station. After a while, I had a text saying he was at the consulate, so I went looking for it. I couldn't find it I ask several people and they didn't know - the traffic warden even named all the consulate on that street. Tan then phoned me asking where I was I replied looking for the consulate in Holland park, to this his reply was - why you doing in Holland park when it's at High Holburn! Doh! This was around 11.40 and I started getting worried.
I told Tan to stay there and tell them I was on my way! I managed to find hale Taxi and jumped in - lucky the traffic wasn't that heavy and as I told the taxi driver I was in a rush. So, he took some short cuts. I found the consulate and made it about 10 minutes to go. The staff & Tan started laughing when I entered the room. I did as well - had to no point being stressed about it!
After, we got the visa's went to the pub for a quick drink and have a good laugh about it. Last time it was an issue with the credit card - this time it's the visa!
So, bring on the flight on 28th Dec!

JJ Just to correct you, the address of the Cuban embassy is High Holborn not High Street Holborn, It is the most modest embassy building in the Metropolis, or the worst, depending on how you look at these things.
Hesh Many thanks JJ
