6 hour flight from Nadi and we were in Sydney on the 25th of May. Our first day was filled with excitement as we went for a walk around Syders with Elliot as our tour guide, who apparently knew it like the back of his hand. The evidence pointed to the contrary as we walked aimlessly around until we found Darling Harbour. The wrong harbour. In hindsight we should have known he was going to get this wrong as he used a "tall building" as a reference point. At around 2 we got to a café/bar in Darling and decided to sit down for a cup of coffee. This idea was cut short due to the bartender refusing to serve us coffee as it was a woman's drink and would only give us beer. Probably a better idea looking back on it. By complete coincidence as we were getting on the elevator in our hostel I noticed some chick from home that we knew and later remembered to be Emmy, though she had forgotten my name- b****. We met later after coming dead last in a pub quiz down at the sidebar and got really drunk, forgetting things that had happened and hearing Emmy go on about "sewiously do they kna who I am, I'm Emmy Dayal I have a bottle of vodka before I go out". And I don't question her on that because she probably had. The next day Emmy invited us to the Australian opening party of the King of Shaves brand due to her dad being one of the major shareholders; which was probably one of the best nights of the trip, with Will King (the CEO) paying for our entire night and… forcing us to go to a strip club. He had to literally pick us up by the scruff of the neck and throw us in, honestly mum. The next day we picked up our camper van and after one more quiet night in WakeUp, we hit the road. 3 lone wolves (we not actually lone as we have one another but its better this way). After a quick stay in Port Stevens we headed to Byron Bay where the first night was spent regaining strength and the next day we met with other nomads from Sydney due to Kemp's utter infatuation with one of them, the other having a boyfriend so I don't remember her name. That night I felt a little ill so Elliot and I cooked the Barbie, put a few shrimp on there, as you do, and hit the hay. Kemp on the other hand had minxing to do. After consuming a bottle of rum he headed into town with the 2 girls, not ideal but I'm sure he managed, only to be rejected from getting in the club and wandered around hopelessly until he found the hostel, which we did not pay for, and slept in a free bed. I say free because that's what I hope, but he could have quite as easily shacked up with any of the boys that were there, knowing him. The next day we trooped down to the beach for Kemp to get some surfing and pretty much show off to Molly, the girl still in question. I on the other hand became amazing at sand sculptures, making myself, a naked lady (obviously) and a mer-Kemp.When my artistic desires had been fulfilled I went for a swim and much like a dolphin would, jumped around in the waves rather than surfing. That night we were in for a big one due to both Kemp's alcoholism and a new single girl arriving at the hostel. After a few pre drinks we headed to Cheeky Monkeys which wasn't half as cheeky as I had anticipated, with the dance floor being nothing more than a few tables with ugly women and men dancing on them, many removing clothing to the detriment of us all. Nevertheless we made fun for ourselves with the 4 girls, only 2 of them single and therefore the only ones I remember. As we were leaving the club we met up with some former Harrow first team players, who obviously were bitter due to 2 years of humiliating defeat, and went for post drinks with them. Despite them being from Harrow, they were actually pretty cool. For the last 2 days we've been traveling straight up the country, on what would seem to be a fruitless pursuit of the women we've met who seem to get further away the closer we get to them. Anyways more news to come soon!
