Vancouver was very different experience from the last few months. Firstly back with the boys after an emotional meeting. Secondly I had no obligations to adhere to: no exams, no Mike the gay and no getting up at 8 am every day to go skiing. The city itself isn't very big; well the downtown isn't very big. Everything was within walking distance from our hostel but most of the time we found ourselves getting taxis, as we are very lazy and it was cheap. In the hostel there were 4 of us because Jack had stayed on a few more days which was great as we had a 4 room dorm of people that we knew and we wouldn't have to bully anyone that we didn't know- just him. On our first day we couldn't do a lot due to Elliot and Kemp's jetlag but on the second day we ventured to the aquarium armed with our cameras, all of which are new and still fun to play around with- especially Kemp's because he thinks of himself as a full time photographer these days with his Lumix G1 or something (I know the name because he goes on and on about it). That night we went on a pub crawl down Granville Street which turned out to be a cracking night, thanks to a shot named the "bear f*cker" (the * is for my mum who is probably reading this). It was this night where kemp became friendly with the tour guide and eventually got a private tour for 2. The next day was dedicated to relaxing with a rugby ball and football down at the beach, with the plan of going out again but this was an impossible task due to the amount of bears we had fornicated with the night before. The next day we did manage to get ourselves out and about, a night which neither Elliot nor Kemp will ever forget. Nor will the Korean government. The next day was a horrific one as we had infront of us almost 20 hours of traveling or sitting around. 3 hours from Vancouver to LAX, a 7 hour wait and then a 10 hour flight from LAX to Nadi. Bring on FIJI!!!
