Most of the morning was spent in bed, it was so comfortable that I couldn't bring myself to depart from it. My stomach started rumbling which was the only thing enticing me to get up! The view from our bungalow was rather nice, we had a little table and chairs on our balcony and it looked on to other bungalows on the sand. Breakfast was mixed fruit and fruit juice. Trying to keep the flies away was a nightmare but it filled the gap!
On our way to Numgwi we stopped at Paje beach to take photos of The Rock Restaurant as it was too dark last night. The tide was in and so we had to take a short boat journey to the restaurant in order to get the pudding that we had left there. The view was impeccable! Like something you see in brochures! Unbelievable. The restaurant was so busy. It'd be blissful to have lunch there and enjoy a glass of wine looking out to sea.
Our journey to Nungwi was just over two hours, whigh wasn't bad going. We made a pit stop to get some street food, Arnold offered me octopus but I stuck to the chips! When we arrived in Nungwi Kendwa Rocks and Sunset Bungalows were fully booked, luckily we found a small hotel further down the beach called Mocco Villa. It's not as nice as Kendwa, but still on the beach, with a nice bar and food, so can't complain!
I walked up and down the beach whilst Arnold played pool with the massai's, it was quite nice to have some time to myself as I have constantly been with someone for four weeks and every time I go into thought mode Arnold thinks there is something wrong with me. I started on the cocktails about 17:30, they were quite sweet and super easy to drink, th ars the problem with cocktails, they always get the better of me! Over dinner Arnold and I watched the sun set then decided it'd be a good idea to get ready for the Rasta Party. Getting ready turned into passing out for a few hours. We woke up at 11pm, had a shower and attempted to go out. I felt sicm and so stuck to the water and they didn't have any white wine on. I couldn't handle anymore alcohol and decided to call it a night. We didn't make it to the Rasta party. We were at the club at Kendwa when the electricity cut out, a very weird experience and an awkward one too. The dancing stopped and turned to lots of people all stood around talking with no music! We used that as our queue to leave and headed back to the hotel.
I plan to make it to the Full Moon Party tomorrow and enjoy it too!
