Stupidly hot here today - April is obviously the season for thunder storms, as it will be very close & muggy one day then what sounds like the perfect storm will take place outside in the evening ! The first time I've had to put my ceiling fan on today in about 5 months too.

I had hoped to make this blog entry about a Car exhibition we had been invited to attend in town but, I had a call last night to say that the weather was not supposed to be too great today & as the exhibition was outside, the organisers had decided to cancel it. But as it universally is when it comes to the weather, the forecast says 1 thing but the reality is very different: has it rained today? No. No it hasn't, so the car show could've happened but hopefully there'll be something similar for us to attend before we leave !

Some quite big news is that in October, the college is having an inspection & if all goes well it will be converted from 'Pingxiang College' to 'Anyuan University' so, at the moment, the entire campus is 1 big building site. They're painting all the dormitory buildings (a rather sickly shade of yellow), building new access roads to the teaching buildings, building what looks like a scenic area/park opposite our apartment building & planting lots of trees and flowers. Everything is very much a work in progress but once it's finished will look quite impressive I think!
