Liz James What a fantastic holiday. We're off ourselves on Saturday and there are petrol strikes in Greece According to the holiday company there are not significant problems getting food etc May be the diet'll atart early! What's next on the itinary. I can't wait. Your blog is great

Steve First week's update. After a truely epic journey to Sydney, where at one point Jay and I and Jo and Josh were on seperate planes to different cities, we arrived and enjoyed a drive down the coast from Sydney Airport. It was great to see family. Day two and we headed straight for the snow; a five hour journey that took us 7 hours with stops! The lodge was amazing, open plan and very rustic. Time to sleep for day three in the snow. Day three and we were up early to be booted and clothed for the snow. Jo chose to stay at the lodge to catch up on much needed sleep for her arduous journey. Booked the boys into ski school and took to the slopes with Dave, Fulv, and Andrew. What a blast and the weather was spectacular. Back at the lodge we found rip van winkle had just risen and we went out for a 1 and 3/4 inch thick Sirloin steak - Yum!!! Day four and Jo is booted and clothed. Boys are already Level 2 skiers and Jo is booked into a morning lesson. Me I hit Mt Perisher for some more kamikazi runs on what was like Spring snow. Jo learnt enough to turn and stop so I took her up a chair lift on front valley and she nailed it :0) Dinner was Spagetti Bolognese for 17 and we had a laugh. Day Five - More skiing, Boys are both on the lifts and Jo even went on the Quad chair and T-Bar runs - Found a new addiction ;o) Legs are very sore and tired but still managing some good runs. Diner at Clancies Pub and another Mooing Steak. Day six (Friday) decided that the warm weather and lack of snow meant the slopes may be too wet today so decided to make tracks for the coast. Three hour driove to Narooma through the Bega Valley. Arrived early eveing and treated to a glorious afternoon on Hankerchief Beach. Day Seven, explored the caravan park in the morning and then set off for Huskisson. Arrived early eve and again had a play on the beaches, this time in Jervis Bay. Day eight, Lorakeets joined s for breakfast at our cabin and fed from our hands and then went for a walk along Jervis Bay. Enjoyed gelatos and lunch at the RSL club before heading north to Culburra Beach. Arrived and booked into a Motel for the night and then went and walked on the beaches and around Lake Woolomboola, Day nine, went for a walk around Penguin Head, picking our way through extinct volcanic rock pools and then played on the beach for a while. Went and had luch and bought soem hand lines to fish. Crookhaven Heads boat ramp saw both Josh and Jay land some small Trumpetter, Leather Jacket and Blackfish. Headed North to Kiame to visit the Blow Hole's little brother and then on to Wollongong in the late eve. Today (28th) we have our first cloudy and rainy days so enjoying the house and relaxing. Liz James Wow what a journey. Hope you are all alright after the trip. We've had lousy weather since you left so you've not missed much. I went to work to see Gill and Tracy today- the place looks like a bomb has hit it. No ceilings and dust everywhere. Enjoy the snow Liz

Gill It's tipping with rain here so still no park for lunch. Have fallen out with old bag - need you here to be 'devil's advocate' We are negotiating on last years pay settlement today. I expect you are all asleep now after your arduous journey. Hope all goes well. Keep Jo and the boys away from Kangeroos. I have it on good authority that they like kicking people in the pants but can't remember who told me..........

Gill A live one please. I thought they were all red I didn't know I had a choice of colour. I thought the grey ones were wallabies.I'd like a large red one. Don't forget my stick of rock. Yes you have told me about being kicked in the pants but only about 10 times.

Gill Hope you made the taxi. Anne has been keeping your seat warm. Still missing you. No-one to 'make a brew' Too wet for the park. Have a wonderful time - hope it's not too windy.
