Harper woke us very early then we had breakfast in the hotel. We rode the MRT to Orchard Road for shopping but we arrived at 9.15 and nothing opens til 10 or 11! (most places don't close until after 10pm). We had coffee at Starbucks while we waited.
The first shopping mall was Paragon which has lots of designer label shops and Paragon Junior - a floor of children's shops, including an organic food shop which was unfortunately closed. Then we went into LuckyPlazawhere there are dozens of phone, camera and jewellery shops. Also shops that are a real mix! The final mall we went into was Tang's which is a David Jones-style place. We bought some children's chopsticks, very cute.
Back to the hotel and I put Harper to bed while Al went to the food hall and got some lunch. He had a nap with Harps while I went for a foot massage - lovely! And only S$18 for half an hour.
At 2pm, we were picked up for our trip to Singapore Zoo. It's a fantastic open zoo. The main zoo closed at 6pm and we walked next door to the Night Safari and had dinner while waiting for it to open at 7pm. We lined up for about half an hour for the 'Creatures of the Night' show but once we finally got in, it started raining and the show was cancelled So we headed out to the walking trails. There are three - fishing cat, forest giants and leopard trails. It was very exciting walking along in the dark and seeing the animals. I frightened myself a bit thinking about the alligators!! After the walking trails, we got on the tram for a ride around the zoo. By the time we finished on that, it was after 9pm so we headed out to our bus and back to the hotel and bed. My feet were killing me!
Baby: People constantly smile and point at Harper in the Ergo and come up to talk to him. He loves the attention. I discovered that I'm NOT too short to breastfeed in the Ergo, he had a feed while we strolled along the Night Safari walking trails. He has been waking a bit at night but has been very good during the day. He is trying lots of different foods when we are out and about.
Nappies: Still in disposables, yuck!
