After waking up in Milford sound, we had a nice breakfast and set out for a quick glimpse of the Tasman sea. After this we returned to the interior of the Milford Sound to head back to our bus. On our way there we saw some fur-seals and enjoyed the nice scenery!
Then we spend a lot of time in the bus, in order to get back to Queenstown where we would spend the night.
During the ride we had some rain and it was pretty cold when we reached our lunch destination (Te Anau), so everyone quickly headed inside to warm-up over a nice hot cup of coffee or something else.
The afternoon was more or less the same, although the weather cleared up when we approached Queenstown.
In the evening we set out to go to have a nice pizza dinner, followed by some drinks. One of the highlights today was the 30 minutes we spend in an ice-bar (called "Minus 5"). Although the bar itself was not so big, it was good fun and I think everybody enjoyed themselves really well.
After these 30 minutes sub-zero, we crossed the street to quickly heat up with a Flaming George in Frazers' pub, a very nice shot of Drambuie, Grand Marnier and Cointreau. Before drinking this is set on fire with some Chartreuse and cinnamon. (go to the movie page to see how this looks). It was actually very nice, and we had lots of fun for the rest of the evening!
