The mojo coffee roasting shed is on the harbour just down the road from my hotel so that seemed like the logical place to go for my morning cappuchino.
Today was devoted to shopping! Kircaldie and stains is an oldfashioned department store, in a beautiful building with very elegant things to buy, a great place to window shop. It has a small food department, nothing to the scale of Sydney David jones, but I added a few more foodie things to my bundle, and sampled a shoc choc lavender caramel chocolate. My cousin Stephen was in town today so I had a lunch buddie! We went to the other Chow and had the $25 lunch special - glass of wine, ginger pork wontons and jungle curry and rice! Great to catch up with Stephen and hear all about the changes he has made to his life in the last 12 months.
I spent the afternoon having a really good look around the shops to see what bargains could be had in the sales. I had not seen alot that had tempted me until I went to Riccocet, and bought 2 tops on sale. Kiwi clothes can be a little bit better made and original, but you usually pay a premium for this, so it was good to get a bargain. Sadly I have not found any shoes .... Yet.
I went to the movies and saw "we bought a zoo", a true story about a recently widowed father who is looking for a new start and buys a zoo. A really sweet film, nice to see a film without CG and stunts.
