The day started out very windy and cloudy. I had some concerns about rain and was preparing to pack my rain gear, but then suddenly the sun came out, blue sky appeared and I decided to dump the rain gear and travel light.
We all left camp around 8 am and rode together out of Keremeos, down highway 3A towards Penticton. About 20 minutes into the ride I had picked up my pace. And soon found myself riding alone. I kept thinking that in would come across another rider soon, or someone would be catching up and passing me but I saw no one. Just as I stopped to check my GPS to make sure I was on the riight road I saw someone coming up behind me.. I rode the rest of the way to our coffee stop to meet the truck and wait for the others to arrive. At this point the group split into two, with some taking the shorter route to our destination, and the rest of uss opting for a more scenic but longer and hillier route. It was a beautiful ride!
We stopped in Okanagon Falls for a picnic lunch and an ice cream cone from Tickleberries. Then fought a headwind the rest of the way along the east side of Skaha Lake and into our campsite.. It was our turn to cook, and thanks to Agnes who also drove the truck so the rest of our team could ride, we put together another amazing dinner complete with fresh peaches and ice cream for dessert! I am definitely going to weight on this trip.
Tomorrow is a longer day with more hill challenges which I'm looking forward to as the last few days have been pretty easy. I need to work off all this food!

Peggy Peaches & cream that's the best! Nice blog, it's fun to armchair travel with my adventurous family.
