Princeton to Keremeos 67km in 2 hours 42 minutes ( riding time)
It was a very short riding day today through pleasant countryside, minimal traffic. We left camp around 8:30 am and arrived in Keremeos around 11:30, which gave us a whole afternoon to relax and get to know one another a bit better.
After setting up my tent, showering, eating my beautiful sandwich (meat, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce) I chose to walk into town along an old railway bed, through orchards full of ripening peaches and nectarines, so tempting to pluck one off the tree, but I didn't because technically that would be stealing- right? It took about 20 minutes to walk into town. Others chose to ride their bikes. I met them at a local coffee shop and enjoyed a caramel machiato while they talked about adding some changes to the route tomorrow add a few more kilometers as well as more challenges. Then I explored the town - which took about 10 minutes. Keremeos may even be smaller than Lillooet. After hiking back to back the rest of the afternoon was spent chatting with my fellow and sister riders, getting caught up on email and generally hanging around until dinner time.
Another lovely meal! I am not going to lose any weight on this trip, I will more than likely gain a few pounds if I'm not careful!
I'm writing this in my tent as the sun goes down and the wind picks up. And I'm hoping it's not going to rain tomorrow as we head for Penticton.
