I'm getting confused about the dates, it's all a big blur already, but my second day in Krabi I went to Rai Leh with Lucas who's one of my roommates. Rai Leh, also known as Railay, is a beautiful place with great climbing opportunities and beautiful beaches. It's part of the mainland but you have to go there by boat cause the place is surrounded by limestone cliffs. Would have been cool to go climbing (I know Gaffar and his friends went when they were there before, damn) but I was feeling feverish and still damn tired for all the sleepless nights so we pretty much spent the day on the beach. Apparently the Phranang beach has been listed as the second-most beautiful beach in the world... And it was truly amazing. If only there were less people! I was too sleepy though and spent too much time in the sun, felt dizzy all afternoon:D
Next evening I took a nightbus to Bangkok. Traveling around here is such a pain in the ass.. We had to change buses 3 times! I was feeling sick and tired so I really wasn't happy about that. And the thing is, they always drop you off in the middle of nowhere, to wait for an hour or 2, where there's only one overprized foodstall. I got mad about that and went out, walked along the highway, found a gasstation minimart that sold food halfprice from the place they dropped us off.
Arrived in Bangkok in the morning, took many different citybuses to arrive in my hostel cause everyone kept telling me to take different buses.. Anyway the place I stay at is pretty cool, and it's only 50 baht per night (1+ euro)!! It's a kind of a squat, really laidback, artsy, underground, dirty + really cool. Really cool people:) I slept there a couple of hours and then headed towards the border of Cambodia to get a visa extention. The trip was a mess!
I was told it's a 2-3 hour ride to the border, and once I'm there I wouldn't have to cross all the way to Cambodia, as in I wouldn't have to buy a visa to go there. Well, it took over 6 hours to get there and once I got there the border was already closing so I had to run around, and I had to buy a visa for Cambodia. And I had to spend the night there cause there were no more buses/trains. Luckily I got to stay with this nice thai family, otherwise I would have slept on the street (I was pissed enough I had to pay for the visa, I wouldn't have paid for a hotel too!). Anyway, got 2 more weeks in Thailand now and headed back early in the morning.
Otherwise I've just gone around the city randomly, I quite like the feel of the place even if it's damn polluted and the traffic is a nightmare (nothing is worse than Jakarta!). It takes ages to move around. Especially when I'm misguided. Luckily it's really cool just to hang out at the squat, spent my friday night there and tonight there is a big party so I'm gonna stay in as well:

I'm just happy I can be lazy today and just hang around here. Probably gonna take a nighttrain towards Chiang Mai tomorrow:)
