The map might tell you otherwise, but I'm in Perhetian islands right now. It's just what my foot needed!
Coming here was a pain since it's off-season (monsoon). When I arrived at the port in Kota Bahru after about 12h of bus, they told me the last ferry of the day left 20mins ago. It was like 11am. Well I got a chance to hop on a speedboat bringing some locals there but it cost me a lot, 50 ringit (~10€). I heard it's quite a normal price during this time:S Anyway I'm happy my camera was in a waterproof bag since we got some water in when we hit the bigger waves.
After coming I've just been taking it easy: swimming, laying on the beach/hammock, reading. Today I went snorkling, too. There are choral reefes all over the place! Too bad I can't go scubadiving (off-season). It was pretty cool though, saw lots of colorful fishes and the forms of the reefes themselves were really beautiful. I wanted to see seaturtles and I hear there are lots of tiny sharks too. I wasn't lucky enough.. And the water wasn't sooo clear, again, cause of the monsoon season, but all and all it was very good for my little mermaid alter-ego:)
Tomorrow I'll be heading towards Krabi, Thailand. And my foot's feeling better!
