Sihanoukville, Sihanoukville... We kind of got stuck in here.
We went to Bamboo island for a few days though. It was really nice and chilled out there, not too many people and only 2 bars/restaurants one on both sides of the island. We had a bungalow and we put up a hammock, aand just enjoyed ourselves. Then Amos' camera got stolen from the bungalow while we were having lunch at the bar. Apparently whoever did it managed to fish the camera out of the window with a stick without going into the house, because they left a lot of valuable things (like my camera, iphone, both of our wallets..) and the door remained locked. So, lucky they didn't take everything but sucks that Amos lost his camera and all of his pictures of South-East Asia.
So next day we got back to Sihanoukville to deal with the police and the insurance papers. And that was not easy. It took 2 days and a few visits to both the tourist police and the actual office to get some sort of signed form out of them. And in the end of the whole ordeal they tried to make Amos pay them for their "services", but luckly he effectively told them off:D
We keep having a lot of health issues too, mostly stomach-related:S We spent one day at the hospital, otherwise it's on and off the whole time. So good excuse to take it easy, pretty much do nothing all days. We left the Ochheuteal beach a couple of weeks ago and came to Victory beach. It's much more quiet here, Ochheuteal was all about beachbars and drunken backpackers. Here it's quiet and cheap, the beach is pretty ok, so we just stayed. One big minus is that this is a big place on sextourism. Well. not big, cause the place is really small itself, but you see a lot of western guys, young and old (mostly Russian), with local girls. And the only barstreet they've got is full of high heeled girls luring tourists in: they even tried me even if I was walking hand on hand with Amos.
Anyways, Gili and Yaron left for Thailand a while ago already and now we're with good old friends of Amos' from back home, Sigi and Dodo:) It's been good, just hanging out, living a simple life and enjoying ourselves (that's about all we've got money to do now:P), but I'm starting to crave to do something diffenrent too. Dodo and Sig wanna go to volunteer in an orphanage in Siem Reap, and I'm tinking about joining them for a couple of days. Would be good to do something good like that:) But we don't have too much time, Amos is flying home 8th of May and I'll follow him on 13th. There's a good chance we'll spend rest of the days around here, keeping up the good work of doing nothing:D
