Hi Everyone,
Still having a great time in Oz. Now down in Alice Springs and flying out to Cairns tomorrow. When we first got to Alice Springs we saw a reptile show and had a big Olive Python put around my neck! Was so heavy!! Have spent the last couple of days out around Ayers Rock, The Olgas and Kings Canyon. All of which involved before 5am wake ups and a lot of walking (think e have covered around 19 miles in the last 3 days!)! :S All 3 were amazing and we walked around all of them so got to see them from all the different angles. We also watched Ayers Rock at sunset with a glass of champagne!! Very upmarket! lol!! At Kings Canyon we went quad biking which was really fun (even if I might have gone to have a closer look at a tree at one point...).
We got back to Alice Springs yesterday and went out for a big group dinner and a few drinks which was nice. Down side was that didnt get to bed until 12 and had to be up at 4:30am!!! This morning me and a couple of the other girls went on a sunrise balloon ride, which was AMAZING! We were picked up at 5am and driven out to where we were going to take off. It took quite a while to get set up and was a bit surprised about how big the balloon was. We got up in the air around 7, just in time to watch sunrise. It was a bit cloudy but that made it look really cool (will try and get some piccys up soon). We were int he air for around 30-45mins and when we came down we had to help pack the balloon away, which was a bit of a mission. We were then taken to have a rather bizarre breakfast of champagne, chicken drumsticks, quiche, fruit, cheese & biscuits and chocolate cake!!! V bizarre! Spent this afternoon just chilling out and went round the shops, toa reptile centre and to the Royal Flying Doctors Museum which was really interesting. Having a chill out night tonight before flying to Cairns tomorrow to join the rest of our group! Quite excited!
