We went to a very big market at Lignano this morning. It was the biggest we had visited. It sold everything. We bought some little souvenirs and Mum and Dad got a cheap bag to put our wedding clothes in for when we return the car and have to carry all our luggage. At midday we left Lignano after 3 days and headed for Lake Como. It is Dad's B'day and he really wanted to go to Como even it was just for a day. We arrived in about 4.5 hours. We are staying in a region called Brunate. The village origins date back to the 4th and 5th centuries BC. We drove up a very big hill to our Hotel. Dad could not believe that the streets were so small. The windy road went for long time straight up. It went through lots of small villages. The road only really fitted one car and at one point we had cars behind us and in front of us and Dad was trying to reverse off a wrong turn half way up the hill. He kept mentioning how crazy this drive was. When we got to the top and found our Hotel the views were amazing. We unpacked and then got on a Tram car back down the hill to visit the town if Como. We had home cooked dinner Lomardy style at a neighbouring B&B when we returned. It was late but the food was very nice. Tomorrow we drive to Paris - 10 hours or so!!!
