im definately not lovin statraveljournals atm! wrote a nice lengthy email saying everything that had gone on and then it just deleted it. arg. so here is a CONDENSED version. spent the day in bangkok on the 28th - went to the grand palace and wat pho - seriosuly was awesome - looked like 50 cent had been allowed all the worlds economy to decorate the place - the amount of bling that was outside these buildings was insane! then got back for a rest before dinner....ended up sleeping for a couple of hours before going for food then trying to find the thai boxing arena! ended up getting a tuk tuk (via all the TAT places in bangkok i think) and finally ending up at the boving arena. found out we had missed 2 hours of it (damn our 2 hr sleep!) and tickets were 1000B which we werent prepared to pay - espeically as we had missed so much already. tried to get a tuk tuk back but they wanted to to charge loads so we thought we would walk it. bit of a mission at 9pm at night but was ok. the next day we were p at 6am (actually thats a lie - jaz and jade were up at 6am - i was up at 6:45 to be downstairs for 6:50am. im not loving this morning thing so am sleeping a lot! and makeup is jkust not necessary out here - mirren u should see me - i would not be accepted in the lion the state my face is in all the time! but im lazy and hot so hay ho! anyway, we did get up that early for a reason, we got a bus at 7am to the floating market at a place whose name i cant remember which was pretty sweet and so busy. had my first coconut in thailand there and i cant quite work out whether it was worth it or not. then headed to kanchanaburi to eat and then see the bridge on the river kwai. some big mouthed jap decided to voice his disgust that we were being taken to spend an hour at the second world war museum there (he wanted to spend an extra hour at the tiger sanctuary!) unfortunately, hannah here seems to have developed a bit of a gob ob her since being back in kenilworth and decided to voice her opinions against his small mided ones. apparantly everyone was quite pleased i did as they all went in to see the museum. he wasnt too keen on me after that tho. but tobe fair - why book a tour that takes you to lots of places if u just want to go and see tigers?!?!?! and surely u dont need a whoile day with them?!?! arg. he was rude for the rest of the time and very rude to the guide. i have a recollection that everyone actually clapped when he left the bus! cant remember exactly as i was half asleep. which was quite good actually as my ipod decided to freeze on me for 4 hours and i couldnt sort it out. we met up with chloe and liz when we got back to the hostel though and chloe sorted it out for me. friday night, we all went for food then for drinks (actually - A drink - we are pretty skint out here!) and were constantly harrassed by a drunk thai who claimed he was french and was jumping around everywhere knocking everyone over. anyway, that takes me up to yesterday when i left everyone as they went up north to chiang mai and i went east to visit dads friend in pattaya. im here until tomorrow when i go back to bangkok then down to koh tao. dont know if i will ever leave tho - brians place is so nice and they have air con! that actually works also! anyway, i gtg! cyas xoxo
