Hi.
Our journey continues up the coast of Vietnam. We headed straight to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) the journey there again was another nightmare journey the bus was only meant to take about 6 hours but ours took about 13 hours! We have no idea why but whilst getting to the border of cambodia/vietnam our bus hit an average height limit bar which was across the road as the driver thought that the bus would fit underneath and he almost ended up taking the roof off the bus! So then we had to turn round and get back underneath the bar which after about half hour of debating how to get back under it the police just wound it up! We then think that we had to take a longer journey round to cross the border as our bus was to high to fit under whatever the height bar was there for! Once at the border we had another problem in that a canadian couple on our bus wernt being allowed to leave the country because they had not got their passports stamped when they arrived into Cambodia (which none of us new you had to do you just trust that the border officials stamp your passport correctly,) they were going to make the couple return to where they crossed into Cambodia which was on the other side of the country! After arguments and bribery they finally were allowed out of the country and then we had about an 8 hour jouney to Saigon from the border.....god knows why that took so long!!! oh and we only had 1 toilet stop and the driver didnt speak english so we were all desperate for the loo when we got off!! We arrived in Saigon very unorganised we had only booked our bus to saigon and we thought we would arrive early night! However we arrived at 11 at night with no vietnam currency, nowhere to stay, and we hadnt eaten all day! So we trekked round the city and managed to find a decent hotel to stay in for quite cheap!
In Saigon we went to see the Cu Chi Tunnels which was really good and I was impressed with myself that I actually managed to go under ground through one of the tunnels that had been widened but was still pretty small! And I shot a russian AK47 gun there which was so loud I nearly deafended myself! But was a fun day. Spent the rest of the time in Saigon just mooching around the city and taking in the hectic city that saigon is! Ive never seen so many motorbikes in my life and now crossing the road is easy once you have managed to cross the road in Saigon!
We then headed up the coast to Mui Ne which was like we had just been dropped into paradise! We couldnt quite believe where we were! It was just gorgeous white beach and blue sea like paradise! However with paradise came romantic couples and families and no back packers so we cut our time short there after too many romantic candle lit dinners and decided we wanted nightlife for the world cup final! So we managed to get on a bus that day to Nha Trang which was such a good decision because we had a really good night out watching the final in Nha Trang. We have decided to stay here for another 2 days as we are liking the beach and sea along with the nightlife as well! However last night I had a nightmare and got robbed! It was my own stupid fault and Im so mad with myself for not being careful enough! I left my bag on the table next to us and when I turned round my camera and money were gone! So annoyed because I have lost my photos....however amy has similar photos to me and most of them are of me so I can just nick hers! So then we ended up in the police station for 2 hours getting a police report. Blag!!!
All in all though got myself a new camera and theres nothing I can do about it now! Lesson learnt tho! Having the best time and loving Vietnam! Oh and very random but I have bumped into 2 people from Runshaw College since being here which is so weird when your in Vietnam! One lad I didnt even know until we started chatting about where we were from was very funny when we both realised we went to the same college!
Awaiting the news on baby williams he must be coming soon, very excited!
Love lots Hannah x

Paul D I nearly spat my drink out laughing at your comment on nicking Amy's pictures as they are all of you....very funny!!! Does that mean Amy won't have any pictures of her as they are all on your stolen camera!!! Sounds like you are well into the swing of things now......
Mum Glad I don't know about some of this 'til I get this blog!! All sounds great and just the news we wanted today. xxx
janet Thanks for all your news Hannah. Glad you've been able to sort your stolen goods out. I think you're both certainly learning about life!
Great Unc A. Keep it up. Great stories.
Christine Watson Oh no - fancy being robbed- but hey you are ok and that's all that matters. I really look forward to reading your blogs - I am a little late this time as we have been to Morzine...fantastic absolutely fantastic time. Granda was asking after you - wanted me to say hello and make sure you are OK! Oh and at last I have finished reading "the book" today. xxx
