Without inciting a riot, I will have to decline all butter suggestions for I am more of a sauce man.
Today my bread-wedge snack has gone upmarket and consist of spinach, brie, cranberry, spring onion, red sweet pepper, cracked black pepper and of course, the cement of the sandwich world mayonnaise, without which my marvellous concoction would undoubtedly collapse. It is indeed lacking a meat-based ingredient however I feel the contents will prove sufficient. Lunch time is looking good.
Incidentally, where did you hear the temperature fact my good man? I am sure i was privy to a similar conversation the other day but am unable to place it.
I
now, i feel that i should rise against the inclusion of mayo in your so called 'perfect sandwodge'; however i feel this is now become a cliche of my personality so i will not (however you know my feelings).
despite the inclusion of congealed fat, this proposed sandweedge is a delight. i'd probably have to veer away from anchor butter though, i've always been more of a olivio (or now bertolini) man. Its easier to spread, and i think more healthy..
Why, when people are ill. do they say 'i have a temperature' ? i also have a temperature, and if they didnt have one, then i'm sure something is definitely wrong.
Sir Wallace
Alas we digress. I think it would be pertinent for us to move away from such chat, as this is clearly NOT what this message board is about. Dinner indeed. I think you will find, my friend, that we should be discussing the finer points of, and be striving towards producing the perfect sandwodge.
Now, I am a firm believer also that toasties should be separated into a different category and as such I shall not be discussing them here. So I shall stick to the cold, more traditional sandwedge. Thick cut white bread, anchor butter, breadcrumbed sliced ham, grated cheese, cucumber, red pepper, sliced cherry tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, salt, pepper and a touch of vinegar all held together with mayonnaise. Obviously.
Less of this dinner rubbish.

I can also vouch for the fact that it was most enjoyable
Chris
just in case anyone was wondering, it was like a chicken stir fry thingy. and was very spicy but very nice
You
not sure what delights she will concoct; was going on about something to do with chinese supermarkets.. should be interesting
Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar
Hmm.. interesting argument you put forward there sir.
A very valid point I feel.
My new location prohibits me from access to such luxuries as toastie machines, however I am in close proximity of a microwave. Maybe I could try heating up some kind of tastey filling and placing it between two slices of bread, thus resulting in a healthy compromise of both warm and cold goodness??
My recent downfall has been the discovery of mini cookies packaged in a format not too dissimilar to that of a crisp packet in a nearby vending machine. This is proving extremely detrimental to both my wallet and beer fund. The travel fund is still in good nick thought, so all is well. Its has also provided me with a brief means of interaction with the girls from finance : )
Whats Sassy cooking? I was contemplating Chilli or chicken and brie wrapped in bacon. Hmm, tough one
Head Of Research And Communications
Hi all. i agree your sandwudges are in indeed more impressive than mine, cold. however i am of the belief that a toasted sandwidge makes it considerably better. if you could find a toastie machine that could successfully toast, enclose and maintain the goodness of your cold shaggy/doo sandwedge, then i would take my shoe and hat off, and eat it. cold.
My dilemma was such; substance over practability?
This week, i have not been enjoying my toasties as much, due the lack of meat contained within. On decent offers in the supermarkets have left my having veggie toasties, although using tomato puree in a toastie is exceptional, it is no bacon/ham/meat filling.
New housemate is cooking me dinner.

S'up G and Han?
Looks like ur having lots of fun in the sun. Thought i better come back n leave a new post and my 1st one was a bit piss poor to say the least...
Ok, I can't remember much past this morning but here's whats been going down:-
J & crew had a pretty wicked houseparty in the 'diff last week- the usual shenanigans. Big thanks to Scotty for being THE hostess-with-the-mostess. Oh, and we also have a new housemate which is all quite amusing. Job is ok - contract extension, payrise + bigger desk with window so happy days. Obviously would rather be on holiday but only 7ish months left. Trying to start a company which should be good for a laugh too...
By the way, plonk yourselves on my lovely new guestmap if you get the chance: www.dancoe.co.uk/map/map.html
Peace out. X
ps. Chris, if your so called 'sandwedges' are anywhere near as good as the bread based snack/feast i have parked in front of me, i will eat my shoe - for real.

Word.
My first visit here, quite exciting. Not in work today because i'm hungover, didn't even call to tell them.
Yesterday sat in pub for many hours drinking jugs of beer watching ryder cup (emotional scenes), everton v newcastle (everton jipped by poor linesman decision) and doin pub quiz (we won crate of stella after copious amounts of cheating).
Hope all good, going back to sleep now.
Mark
