Phi Phi & Phuket
We took a 2 hour ferry crossing to the pier at Phi Phi Don, to which me, Ginger, Carl, and Tanq played paper scissors and stones to see which one had to carry H’s 32kg suitcase of the ferry, luckily enough for us they had baggage handlers to carry this enormous suitcase.
After a 10 min walk in the blistering heat through the small market stalls and up a narrow mud path, we finally arrived at our home for the next 3 nights, it consisted of a timber shed with 2 beds a fan and a small bathroom with no hot water in which I had pulled the short straw of sharing with H, so I was the one that had to put up with her whinging, our shed overlooked our luxurious pond (swimming pool) which we all jumped straight into.
As per the other destinations we had stayed in our first night was straight on the lash, where we met a group of friends we had previously made in Krabi and got smashed drinking the local whiskey. My stay in Phi Phi consisted of lying on the beach, shopping for boarder shorts and going out on the town, during this time we seen the lovely blue sky’s and some heavy down pours.
Our next destination in our adventure was to be Phuket which was my favourite place, just to let you know Chick the beaches were beautiful. In our new home we had proper beds, nice bathroom, air conditioning and televisions in which we was all grateful for.
Our main attraction on this stay was a night out at Fanta Sea which was a circus /pantomime, my first impressions of Fanta Sea was a small version of Disney world as there was loads of people dressed up as characters, fire eaters and even a midget in which I took some stick for as they all said he was still bigger than me, after the Fanta Sea show we went back out to the local bars we had experienced the night before, to my disgust these all seemed to be lap dancing bars, as you can see in our photo’s.
After slobbing on the beach and drinking of a night our thoughts were beginning to turn to our trekking in Chang Mai.
Take care.
