H: bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, its FREEZING in Sydney!!!!!! It is actually freezing! well 15 degrees but when your living in a van...... :(
anyway, we have driven over three thousand and seven hundred kilometres since the last blog, it has taken us 19 days and we made it to Sydney, but not without damage....thanks to Martin we have two humongous cracks down the windscreen that actually nearly join and today, dont ask me how but he managed to destroy the mosquito net thing from the back window....its a good job we took out that extra insurance...isnt it Martin :)
hehe anyway, it doesnt matter, the roads were a bit rubbish and he has driven a bit more than me. Back to the more important stuff, we have seen some amazing, awesome things in the past few weeks, cairns, port douglas four mile beach which was gorgeous, more and more beaaches, loads of gorgeous waterfalls (including the timotei advert one, it was amazing though, so beautiful!!!) the whitsundays, fraser island (a massive island with loads of sand, pretty impressive, better than i describe) bundaberg rum distillary, smelt yummmmmmmm! More beaches, Sunshine coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Palm Beach (Home and Away!!!!) although i was pretty disapointed that they werent filming (stupid holiday!) Manly Beach....the list could go on forever, despite living in a van the size of a double bed, i have really really enjoyed myself. :) I cant forget to mention Martins awesome reverse down a duel carriage way today hehehehe it was hilareous!!!
oh another funny story.......driving down the road happily, hearing a few funny noises, turning around to see the toaster and an full kettle still plugged in and sliding around on the table in the back :S oooops!
M: yeah the toaster/kettle incident i remember harriet saying everything was away. I am so so so happy we purchased a heater and a roman big boy to keep us comfy at night (its a sleeping bag). Australia is ridiculously huge we have driven for about 3hrs and not seen any kind of shop or civilised life. Its been great living like gypsies but i'll be glad to have a hotel room. About the cracks, unfortunately i couldn't spot the stone that hit the window and manourver our van, which feels like a sail boat to drive, in time to miss it.
hope evryone is well
H and M
