HUAIROU, Beijing Province: Andrew's birthday today! I forgot to post his birthday card (home-made! hope he's impressed) so it'll be a bit late... This week's lesson is from their textbook - it's the 'Culture Corner' about New Zealand... completely irrelevant from the Unit's topic of 'Cyber Space', but oh well! The classes weren't really that interested, but at least there was lots of pronunciation practice and they managed to answer the questions OK.

HUAIROU, Beijing Province: Seeing as Sunday is my only day off, decided to take it easy today! Sarah went into Beijing to do some touristy bits, but I had a reeeally long lie-in and then pottered around the flat for a bit! Met up with Marcus and some of his friends for a bit of a hang out, but not for long coz his dad was back in Huairou and wanted to meet him for dinner. Met up with Sarah a bit later for dinner at the Korean restaurant - had that tasty rice...

HUAIROU, Beijing Province: Had my morning Korean classes today, and after it FINALLY getting back to normal (with me getting my favourite class back), they've gone and changed the timetable AGAIN! I now don't teach the Intermediate class at all, instead I get to keep the pre-intermediate class (fun...) and teach one of the elementary classes! Unfortunately this doesn't mean elementary age, it means the ability, so I've got maybe 13-16 year olds in the elementary...

HUAIROU, Beijing Province: Had my least favourite class today... I'm not a big fan of Class 4 on a good day, so throw in a headache and a sore throat and there's a room full of 50 teenaged satans! When I finally got in, had a nap, and then prepared for our Friday evening tuition session. HUAIROU, Beijing Province: Felt really really grotty today. Sarah did too, and we decided that we'd probably eaten something that'd made us ill. Sarah felt much worse than me, and spent the whole evening in bed. I did some more lesson prep, and had an early night.
