Signing off.... This is the final stop of our trip, meant to be the relaxing wind down before heading home. And this is exactly what it has been. We had no problems upon arrival and settled straight into our hostel when we arrived at about 11 in the evening on wednesday. Thursday proved to be our present buying day followed by a whole afternoon laying on the beach. We also picked up our souvenior tattoos on the beach here too....dont worry mums, they arent real...

The last stop in Brazil, for now. Day 1, Brazilian side. magnificent views of the falls from a distance, some spectacular photos to come. Then an off-road adventure with a forest trail on mountain bikes, and some fun in kayaks with some major white water!!! (check the pic!) Here we encountered our first major problem of the trip so far. After pre-booking our bed for the night and arriving at 10.30pm at Sao Paulo bus station we climbed in a taxi who's driver had never heard of the hostel or in fact the area! After driving around for around an hour and a half we eventually found the address only to be greeted by for sale signs and no hostel in sight. At this point, nearly midnight, we decided to check into a hotel. After intial shocks...
This was the first stop on our trip. After being greeted with a slightly dodgy looking hostel we soon realised that this was a great city, with beautiful sandy beaches and beautiful views from every mountain, especially sugar loaf mountain (pictured). The highlight of our stay here was the tour of RoÃ§inha, the biggest favela in brazil that overlooks much of Rio.
