We woke at 4:30am to try to get away at 5:00am. We were 15 minutes late. We had a long day ahead of us. We needed to get to Panama City. Getting through the last of the ICW was rough in the dark but we made it with no problem and on out into the gulf. Was a beautiful day with 1 foot waves if that. The water was deep blue and beautiful. Saw an occasional dolphin and some seagulls, but that was it. Saw a fishing charter boat, but other than that it was just us out on the wide open ocean. We made it to Panama City buoys just as the sun went down. We were glad it wasn't quite dark when we got there as it was much easier to navigate with some light. Our friends, Russ and Barb Test and their friend Horrace had secured us their friend's dock space for use and met us at the Panama City Marina. Great to have help docking the boat in an unfamiliar marina. Thanks guys. We then went for dinner. Great to see old friends and meet new ones. We have decided to stay in Panama City for a month to take care of some business.
