Ok so its been a while since anything has been written, I must be becoming even more lazy!
So after 1770 I heading down to Hervey Bay to go on the 4x4 frazer island safari, the weather was fantastic even at 6 in the morning when we had to be briefed, got a good crew going 8 lads and one girls so that was pretty interesting, first day was spent going to random lakes and not being sheep and following everyone else, we all had a spot of driving and I nearly planted the truck in a tree, second day we did one of the best beaches in the world, lake Mackenzie, crystal clear freshwater, last day we went and did some sightseeing, through creeks and played with flip flops and spiders and saw the shipwreck. I think the nights were the best as beach parties and BBQs reined free. Next it was on to Chermside to meet Nat (who I lived with in london) so lots of home comforts there and more BBQ's some absailing in brisbane. Next was onto Brisbane, there was not alot to do in brisbane, as the best part of the trip was being there on saint paddys day and eating a 450g steak for 12 bucks. We then travelled to surfers paradise, where you dont surf, saw some street performer who liked to dislocate things, checked out the water park and dreamworld (theme park) for a little adrenaline rush.
Headed to Byron Bay where I surfed and ate chips on the beach, we were staying in the middle of a swamp in a wagon which was cool but really cold at night (no pun intended!) lots of open mike nights, fire juggling and didge playing, which I am getting quite good at now. Did a day trip and jumped of 12ft waterfalls and went bush trekking.
Next stop was Coffs Harbour - NOTHING TO DO!!! (apart from getting paranoid about being eaten by sharks when I was the only one in the water)
Nezt stop was Port Macquarie where our stay coincided with the iron man competition (4km swim, 170km bike and a marathon at the end, idiots if you asked me, went to a koala hospital and saw yes you guessed it koalas, then we watched about 20 films and ate pizza as it did not stop raining for the next two days!
Next stop Newcastle SUN YEAH!!! Pretty cool city, have done some more surfing, tried out sand boarding and kayaking looking for wildlife, went bush walking and saw some kangaroos, emus, birds, lizards and more koalas. Now just waiting to go to Sydney tomorrow where the party begins, and I may be going back up the coast for a 5 day surf camp or may just go to figi......stay tuned........
