OK, so were actually in New Zealand now on our "Kiwi Experience" and have a lil catching up to do with the blogs; Noosa, Brisbane and Sydney. Here's the first, keep on checking for the rest in the next few days....
We had one more stop left over when booking our bus ticket, so Adam liked the name or had heard of the place before or something, whatever, we ended up in Noosa Heads after Fraser an before Brisbane. Even when we got there I'd no clue of where we were an what was actually on offer. Adam soon informed me that there is pretty much only one thing to do here, Australia zoo.
This also happened to be the "home of the crocodile hunter", Mr Stingray Steve Irwin and his apparently over marketed daughter Bondi or Bindi or whatever she's called. It is also home to the worlds largest crocodile and collection of salt water crocs, you know, the big angry ones that Irwin repeatedly bated on tv.
Regressing back to being 5 years old running around the zoo was just plain fun! We spooned kangaroos, cuddled koalas and watched a superb show put on at the poorly named "crocoseum" The over exuberant Aussie presenters were ridiculously annoying but the crocs were doing there best to silence them.
After a day of crocs, koalas, roo's, Tasmanian devils, wombats, eagles, elephants, tigers and snakes we headed back to the comfort of our hostel. Turned out that evening that Noosa caters very well for high class individuals looking for posh wine bars, and by the looks of some of the riverside houses there are plenty of them, but on a backpacker budget it was straight to Coles and a bottlo for some pasta an a few bottles of wine. Class.
Next stop Brisbane... See you there!
