Hello again to all our old readers and a warm welcome to our new ones.
After our mammouth journey from Hale, Cheshire to Cape Town, South Africa we are embarking on a somewhat easier trip this time. We are shipping our truck to New York and we will fly in and pick it up at customs in Newark, New Jersey. Roughly our trip will see us travelling up the east coast of America as far as Nova Scotia visiting lots of coastal towns along the way. We will then cross Canada and travel down the west coast of America. We don't have a set timetable or route merely choosing to stop when and where the mood takes us.
In October we plan to leave the truck and camper in storage in the states, somewhere in the vicinity of Los Angeles whilst we fly home for about six weeks. At the beginning of December the truck will be shipped to Australia when we will once again fly out and pick it up and travel through Australia ,concentrating on the interior and northern territories which we didn't manage to cover during our last trip there.
By then we will have been half way round the world hence the name of the web site and are currently looking into the possibility of driving the truck back to the U.K. from Australia. This idea is very much in its infancy at the moment and we will make a final decision later in this trip when we have done a lot more research. Obviously a lot depends on the current political situation at the time in many of the countries we would have to pass through and also whether we could stand many more months on the road living in our small camper.
Until then sit back and relax and enjoy our blogs and pictures whilst we take you on another journey and don't forget to send us messages anytime as we enjoy plenty of contact from our friends and family back home.
