nev and patsy Coming Home (22.05.2007) Okay so it's nearly time to come home. Our year of living the dream is coming to an end, so we thought we would answer some of the questions some of you might have. Did we enjoy it ?Silly question really. Yes, all of it,evenIndia ( sort of! ). Would we do it again? Yes as soon as we have the money in place, without a doubt we will do something like this again. Taking of the cost, how much? Well just over thirty grand, not including the two grand for storing our furniture for a 15 months. (s***! I've just read that, I need to lay back and take some deep calming breaths for a minute). Still that was for two of us for a year doing what some people only dream. Something we get asked is which was the best place you have been? It's hard to pick one place, as everywhere we have been has had something different to offer. In answer to the question, I would have to say, all of them, except India, it's the one place I would not go to again, Patsyann said she would give India another try. (stuff that!!). Are we glad to be going home? Well at the moment we are in oz, the sun is shining and life feels just great, And this time next week we will be in Manchester, Wythenshawe to be precise, if we are really lucky we will get to go to Civic, where all the beautiful people hang out, wearing leggings and misspelled tattoos, walking there pitbulls and reading their copies of the f***wet weekly. Patsyann does miss her family and will be happy to see them again.I said I'll pay for a big blowup picture of them, she can keep it here to look at when she feels homesick. Has it changed us in any way? I suppose so, just the fact of being able to sit back and have the time to look at the way you live your life is one good reason why everyone should do this at least once. As for me I know now I do not want, ever, to work for someone else. That's true for both of us. Did we get on well together all that time? yeah pretty much, there were times when we got pissed off with a situation but not each other, (I only beat her up a couple of times, but it's okay I kicked her in the stomach so no one could see any bruises) but lets face it, when your together 24/7 your bound to getpissed off now and again, but there were no fall outs or huge arguments, if anything we have loved each others company and still found things to talk and laugh about. Why did we do it? Why not! We wanted to see and do things before it's too late, life is short and you only get one shot, there is a big wide world out there and we wanted to see it before we wake up in our 60's too old to enjoy it! As patsyann has said, rather do something and regret it than go through life doing nothing and regret it. And we've got no regrets. What are we going to do when we get back to sunny England? Well one thing we need to do is find a house or flat that we can renovate as soon as possible. If we can do this and make a living at it then we will give it our all to try and make it work. Hope you have enjoyed the site. We've had a blast, can't wait to do it all again.

Brian & Aunt Gladys (Belfast) Nev and PA, Well home safe then? Nevin, your mum just left BFS for Manchester in time to see you'all B4 you take off again for Germany! Glad you had a great time! Seems like years since we had that week in turkey back in August. It was the best!!!! We have been to Crete, Costa del Sol and Ibiza since then are are now due for Corfu in four weeks! We are looking to flog the house now, kick out the 'kids' and do something similar B4 it is too late for us (almost) 50s types, so wait and see! We'll be circumnavagating the globe yet!!!! Buzz The jet setters arrived safe and sound with all their bags, not like poor Sam,s bag, was left at Manchester, he was stood in the airport all on his own looking for his bag. Nev has sampled the grapper again, he missed it so much, your turn in July Kev Mass. Nice to have them back here sa i get fed three times a day for a whole week. Looking forward to July summer ball when all together here in Germany, will be a laught.

patsyann hello, well we are back now, jackie, laura and beth came to pick us up and there were a few tears, our bags are still in bloody london, we only just made the flight but our bags did not, we should get them some time later this afternoon, been back only 2 hours and went to the estate agents looking for a new place to do up and make a few quid so we can go off again! well talk again soon, kirsty i will text you about meeting a jackies later, x

Kev Mac Ha ha ha, welcome back to Civic!!!  You are going to be amazed at what they have done to the place.  Flattened it!!!  Wishful thinking but really, it will still be full of the same smackheads trying to rob you or pregnant teenagers trying to get on Trisha.  Do you really want to go back to all that?  If you dream it, do it!!  That's my new quote, got it from a cheesy but quality film we watched last night, Blades of Glory, get it, you'll laugh your t*** off. Well as I told you yesterday, I have got my date for Germany and I start on 4th Jun.  Can't wait although I will only be there for a week, then I'll fly back, get Kate and the kids, hand over the house in Southampton and all drive across then.  Had a great weekend with Shaun, Maddy, Buzz, Annette and Abbie.  Went round to our old neighbours and Buzz fell asleep, ignorant git eh, imagine falling asleep!!  He was sat under a patio heater though, we didn't realise until he started snoring!!  Annette the lazy b**** wanted to get a taxi from there to our house!!  Only a 10 minute walk.  Abbie said that Annette is putting weight on and the phrase she used was, you've got junk in your trunk (and she has)!!  Watched the cup final and was gutted, so the least said about that the better.  Although when we got home on the Sun night, Kate had let my mate from across the road in and he put cuttings from the paper all over the living room!!  w***er!! I am not sure what time my flight gets into Germany on Sun 3rd Jun but hopefully we will be able to meet up.  Although I will have to get Buzz or Annette to pick me up.  I'll let you know. patsyann nev hello, only a few days now before we see you all, yes lolly got your text babe, we are in singapore now and its chucking it down but really hot and humid. when i went through passport control at sydney i got stopped by customs and got checked for explosives! asked me if i spoke english, i said yes and he was shocked because he said i look like i don't? whats that all about? We are taking in the sights here and getting ready for another long flight, almost 14 hours! it took us 17 hours with 2 trains and the 9 hr flight from sydney so we are a wee bit tired. see you on thurs, love ya patsyann & nev
