Still up high! On the shore of Lake Titicacca at 3600m or so. Definitely not the hottest spot north of Havana, Copacabana is a great little stopover on the way to Cusco. Great little stalls all selling the same hats and gloves to try on, lots of restaurants all selling the same food and the same rain that is following us around. Sounds like I'm fed up of being a gypsy traveller. Certainly not the princess lifestyle I was once accustomed to. Kind of like being at school where everyone has to do the same thing because you don't know any better. Sorry, start of a rant there.
Anyway, a one night stop over simply because we've had enough of long journeys and we fancied another night in probably the cheapest country in the world. Stayed in a hostel for 10 soles/1.25$ each in a room of our own. Great views from the terrace but Nat tells me the showers are cold (I've given up washing to try and keep the annoying travel agent people away). Went over to the Isla del Sol for half a day - far too long on the boat as we had only 1hr on the island before heading back. But we learnt another card game from the boat man so was well worth it. On the island you have to walk up lots of steps if you want to go anywhere other than the pier so we walked halfway for something to do but Nat's sports injuries started playing up so we came back down and played with a stray dog until the boat left.
Off to Cusco via Puno (further along Lake Titicaca) on our last long bus journey in South America! Only 15hrs....
