Currently putting off packing bag ready for our first night on the 'Trans Mongolian Railway', the train which will ferry us in comfort (ahem) from the mighty Moscow across Siberia and through Mongolia to Bejing (in April). So we managed to decipher the Moscow underground system and made it to the iconic Red Square today...although St Basils Cathedral appears to be so perfect and colourful that from a distance it could be a OTT wedding cake!

Managed to sort out accomodation with a 'friend of a friend' whilst in Moscow, which has been wicked to get an insiders view of this overwhelming city; funky little bar cafes and 'how to get a taxi in Moscow' (raise arm, get in first car that stops next to you...apparently its totally safe...)

Russian language skills are coming on a treat, i have mastered 'thankyou'. I hope to learn a new word next week too...!
