So its been a few weeks since the last blog entry, I blame the poor facilities as the technology has regressed to 1982 since leaving Moscow!
So the past month has seen us traverse Siberia on the Trans Mongolian Railway, and what a trip so far! We arranged an expedition into the Altai Mountains to go hiking (not an easy feat when you speak minimal Russian and vice versa with their English!), tried our hand at husky dog sledding (eat my snow!) and made it to the shores of Lake Baikal, a massive freshwater lake which contains one third of the worlds fresh water!! Quite an experience DRIVING over completely frozen surface of the lake!!
We crossed the border into Mongolia last night (fingers crossed that we had satisfied all the rigerous requirements for registering our Russian visas properly!) and we set off from Ulaan Baator for a month of the 'great outdoors' tomorrow morning...
Lots of pics ready to upload when we finally find an internet cafe from the 21st century, maybe it'll have to wait until we get to China...
