Been here for just over 2 weeks now and it feels like a lot longer. The start to this adventure could not have gone any better. Singapore is an awesome place with loads going off. Things are pretty expensive, especially beer! The local people are welcoming and very friendly. They have this thing of respect where you call an older person aunty or uncle! I've not gotten fully into that yet as I find it a bit strange to call someone I don't know aunty or uncle.
The food is excellent and you can eat relatively cheap. They have these food halls called orca centres where you can buy all different Asian foods for 5 Singa dollars or less (that's about £2.50!)
The city is very clean and safe and there is a feel of organisation. The death penalty is still in force and harsh punishments available for different crimes. This is probably why Singapore is one of the worlds cleanest and safest countries in the world.
The school where I'm working is excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and I've met some great mates already. We've been on lots of social events and nights out. Last night we all met up for a BBQ. It's a very different lifestyle to what I had back home but I'm loving it.
That's all for now. Feel free to comment on my blogs.
Hope your all safe and happy, wherever in the world you might be. Take it easy!

We are happily still on hols here in England, non stop rain of course for a bank holiday. I feel for everyone at Crofton, they are all getting set up for Sept- they haven't been able to get in much as school still full of work men. I do not envy them though! Immense relief. Great to hear your news, will keep checking in. Book is underway! Allison x
