Meikles Adventure
A late wake-up, or rather just a late get-up – take any chance to catch a sleep in! A few chores accomplished around the site and then off to Karajini Visitor Centre where there's lots of information about how this park is run by the Aboriginal people now and how the landmasses collided to form the huge gorges and a bit more knowledge on pastoral Australia and animal life around these parts.
Next to take a look at some more gorges – the gorges and waterfalls over the other side of the park are a bit harder to access with 2 small children, but we did go for a walk at the Kalamina Gorge- Sach game again to have a dip, but the water a bit still and green here (dry season). Going back to the car and then for a couple more drive and walks down to lookouts into the gorges and at the waterfalls and pools in the Weono area of the park, girls reached the end of gorge looking though, not too thrilled to be walking any further by the end of the afternoon. Some magnificent lookouts though, would be great to go for some more walks down into the gorges – oh well, maybe we’ll come back when the kids a bit bigger.
Headed back to camp about 4pm, a bit of lazing about before dinner, catch up with some correspondence and quite a bit later headed to our bed for the night – oooh am I so glad that we brought a good mattress from our spare bed at home!!

Deb Kelly Hey Renee, your photography is fabulous. I think you should consider selling your landscapes once your home. They have a fantastic perspective and are interesting panoramas. I definitely want to buy some from you. Can you tell me what camera you have? Miss you heaps XXXD
