Up bright and early this morning for our cliff jumping trip... Well I say bright and early, the early bit is true, not sure about the bright part as I was in a slightly delicate state after a few too many drinks the night before. Was a great night though, hit up lotus bar and fizz and watching fire rope and various other things!
As I was saying, up bright and early and off to good time adventures where we had some breakfast before beginning our hour hike to the jumping zone. Under normal circumstances this hike would have been relatively ok...with the heat however, it became something else! Especially the hill... This hill was one of those that seems endless, endless and steep!
After we finally reached the jumping point we had a few attempts on 3,9 metres, with one group member attempting the 12! Safe to say that wasnt me! After snorkelling where we saw a shark (!!!) we hopped on the speed boat to head back to the resort... Suddenly an instructor was jumping frantically and as we looked in the direction he pointed... A pod of whales emerged! There they were, little not than 4 metres away from us, jumping and crashing into the sea and playing around. Apparently they haven't been seen in the area for nearly 2 years, so was quite a treat.
We met up with Zoe and I went with her to grab some lunch whilst Laura headed back to the hostel. The afternon was non eventful, I had a nap and then ventured in search of water and wifi... I found both at cafe del sol (becoming regulars) where we later met carol and nick for a few drinks and to say see you back in guernsey.
After a rather wonderful massage (coconut oil) we headed back to the hostel for some shut eye, ready to travel tomorrow!
