Bula! from Fiji. After a few complications we made it and have been island hopping through the mamanuca group for a week and are now on the mainland. Firstly we stayed on Bounty Island, one of the most beautiful places i have ever seen. The island only takes about 25 minutes to walk around and it looks like its straight out of a film, blue water, white sandy beaches, palm trees the lot, even celebrity love island was filmed there!! We caught our own dinner on a fishing trip, slept in the shade of a coconut tree and sang with the locals it was a real experience!! The nex island we went to was Beachcomber island the so called "party island" of Fiji. The local band played constantly on the beach and happy hour was from 5.30 - 6.30 (needless to say by 9.00 we were all craving our bunk beds). Finally we went to Mana island. This island was more of a community the village dog followed us on a three hour walk round the island and everyone knew your name! There was one guy from somerset who had been there for 2 months because he loved it so much they called him the "village boy" and he helpoed out around the island. When we left we were both quite sad to leave it was like visiting family and friends, they all came out to wave us off and wish us luck. We are now on the mainland in Nadi (not quite the paradise the islands were) and are planning to travel to suva the cultural capital of the country. Will update you next time we find a computer!!
