Day 15 of the connections tour of we go to the airport to collect our little quantus plane to alice. i was chased by the maid before we left as she though i had forgot to take all my belongings, i had actually just left loads of clothes behing as i was desparately running out of room in my case. a couple of hours on the planeand we finally land into 41c heat, my now this is hot, but its very dry heat. meet our new driver leigh and headed top our home for the night. heavitree lodge, with wild wallabies running around at night. on our way we passed some dry rivers the main one being the todd river, where they have their own boat race on wheels, due to th elack of water. all these rivers are subject to flooding though when it does rain. the whole areas water supply is found from underground rivers. we pass a not so secret secret us air base that train cia agents. took a day trip into the town, everything is closed. lots of aboriginals around, they have the strangest sounding language i have ever heard. back to base for a swim in the pool and a stop at the bar before heading back out for food and drinks. bojangles was where we ate a few new members of the group joined today. ggod food nice booze, this place is also a live radio station and has live webcams 24/7. a barrel of monkey nuts and a snake in a large glass tank. tomorrow we hit da rock.
