We made it to Dublin! I'm glad I picked the red backpack because the green one got left behind in Chicago and will be coming on a later flight. We are just chilling at the airport now. We had an Irish breakfast of sausage, bacon, eggs, beans and some sort of "pudding" that looked a hockey puck (or cow pie - and tasted similar). We will be renting our car soon and off on your next adventure!
Once we got our car, we drove to our hotel - and that was an adventure. Driving on the left was fine, but it was the narrow roads and bicyclists that made us nervous. After we finally navigated out way through all the one ways, we managed to get checked into the hotel and all took a couple hour nap.
Once we were all refreshed, we walked to the Guinness Storehouse and took a tour where we learned the history of the Guinness family and about how Guinnes is made. The top level of the building was an observation deck, and we witnessed a proposal!
After Guinness, we went to Brazen Head, which is the oldest pub in Ireland. It was established in 1198 A.D. There we met a couple from Indianapolis and we shared stories and they gave us all sorts of pointers.
