I'm moving back down south slowly - 10 miles at a time. Should reach Cyprus sometime around 2050.
I haven't been in dad's new house yet but it sounds perfect. I think it'll be packed with 6 of them there today for the father's day barby.
Glad to hear it's hot. We had a sunny day last week, think that's summer over.
Alex has probs with his joints, all sorts of things dislocate when he stretches or turns over in bed so over time, each major joint has to be repositioned and tightened. They've given up on fingers and toes but he's had his shoulders done now, think it's knees and hips next although his elbows slip a bit, too. Bet you're glad you asked now, aren't now?
Shazza - which hospital is your mum in? Perhaps I can visit?
Love to doulous etc everywhere,
Lucy xx
Sweaty Auntie Mary
Hello Everyone,
How are the Seven Samurai? How are all the Pommies? We need to see photos to make sure you are all OK.
Well, Cyprus is hotting up, hate to think what July and August will be like!!
Well, Lucy, I would like to come and say "Goodbye" to you house. But two things worry me.....
1. Where is your house going? and
2. I haven't even said "hello" to it yet. Would it be inappropriate to say "Goodbye"?
What has poor Alex had done to his shoulder?
Hope you and Dina enjoy your bbq today. Say "hello" to bappou for me.
Lots of Love
xxxxxx

Hi everbody
This is a message just to show that it's 9am on a Sunday morning and I'm up and about and have cooked and ironed and cleaned my house and am nearly ready to go out!
Has never happened before and is unlikely to happen again!
Nicholas, you seemed to have got the spelling of Phillipines wrong each time you've written it. What sort of teacher are you going to be?
Matthew, it was good to talk to you yesterday, I'll speak to the rest of you when you return to civilization.
Laura, happy birthday again as you like reading it. I hope we've got a graduation ticket for you too.
Sharon, I've forgotten when your birthday is, I can't remember if it's before Nicholas' or Matthew's but if it's it the next few days, happy birthday.
Adele and Faye, we haven't heard much from you recently, hope you're still having a good time and Faye's feet are back to normal.
Mike, glad to see that you're now writing messages - how black are you now and what's a Mike face?
We're all going to Bapou's new house for a fathers day barbie but the weathers not good so we'll probably end up sitting inside and the house isn't really big enough for us all!
Love to everyone. xxxxxxxxxx
Alex (Well,lucy)
Al says - tell them it hurts like f***
Lucy x
ps What he didn't tell you is that he's working his way through 3 fried egg rolls, so life isn't all bad
Aunty Lucy
Hi everyone - thanks for the birthday wishes - had a great barby, bonfire etc. The boys got me a nintendo DS with mental stuff on it to keep my mind active and stop me going senile, Unfortunately, it may be too late...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA! sorry it's late - I do like you really - well I wouldn't go out with you or anything but you know what I mean.
Alex is now home, still in one piece but held together with a fat row of staples. He's swinging between 'I love you mummy' - good stuff, that valium - to going deathly pale and shaking with pain. Horrible to watch but it'll get better. He sends his love to you all. Oh dear, while I've been writing this, the dog has been eating Alex's sterile dressings...
Good to hear all your stories even if some are a bit scary!!! Swimming with fishes?? Erm..not sure I'd cope with that!
Matt and Shazza - hope you have lots of fun in Australia.
Hope you all meet up again soon. Dina and I are meeting up again soon, too. She's donning her wellies and winter coat and heading north, coming to say goodbye to my house. If there's anyone else out there who wants to say goodbye to my house, or even hello, you've got 2 months. Dou, Alex and the kids will be here next month - I'm looking forward to seeing them all again!
Don't believe I got the sum wrong, now I have to write it all again!!!!

Keep the happy birthdays coming!!!
Well the Phillipines is highly beautiful now weve moved away from the scary gun crimed, glue sniffing manilla. Which ever island we are on now is beautiful! We went snorkling the other day with some great American friends weve made, which was amazing. I managed to stay in the sea for longer than one second and even saw a purple star fish!! On the beach there is 100 year old women wondering around asking whether you want a massage!!-They look like one rub of your back and they'd claps! but there so NICE! I didn't want to exhaust them with a massage so i got one to put a braid in my hair, she said my hair was knotty and sat behind me brushing it!
Had the most dramatic morning, ran out of money with no atm on the island!- Then some lady said there was one and her friend could take us. Me and Nick got this silly bike thing over the mountains and far far away, only to be screwed over, charged more, saw an accident, was in a minor accident, and nearly killed, and there wasn't even access to any money!! Returned back to the others and luckly mother Teresa(Faye) came to the rescue. She ventured off and returned with the goods!!!
Jane and Pete, so glad you had agood holiday and returned safely. I loved meeting up with you, and thank you for your genorosity. I can't wait till we can get the photos of you guys up!! Thank you for keeping my mum in check! I know it's hard work! How did it go at tescos?!!!! xxx
Mum i'm so proud of you! 1 mile!!! next it will a desert 6 day marothan!!! Miss you both. There is no phone with international use on the island so i'll say happy fathers day now, and i'll ring on Monday. Love you both so much, hope your not to jet lagged. xxx
I'm starting to think animals are o.k! xx
Jane And Pete
Hi there Nick Laura Mike and Adele
Well we are back home and it all seem like a dream already. Just downlaoded the photos of which there are about 200 and starting to plan next years trip.
Enjoyed meeting up with you and wish we could be travellers as well although we are far too fussy and we need plenty of luxuries dont think the two go together some how.
Off to Tescos do do the weekly shop will try to pull a 'Mike' face at the checkout dont hold out much hope.
The 2 Petes did some more snorkeling on Hong Island and had to endure an hours long rough boat ride coming home it was rather scary.
Laura I tried to look after Nicola as much as I could and she said that I even sounded like you by the end of the hols. She managed a mile long trek to the hot springs and the emerald pool exhausted but she said it was worth it.
We also had to trek around Bangkok airport at top speed to make our connection that was rather hairy but we didnt get shouted at thank goodness.
