Hi everybody
Got back from Scotland a couple of hours ago even though we were supposed to return last night.
We couldn't travel cos of the flooding in the Midlands and they then forecast snow for Scotland today!!! For a while it felt that we were going to be stuck in Scotland forever but we made our escape today after all. We passed a whole load of flooded areas on the way home - unbelievable to see and horrendous when you think that the floods were actually 48 hours before we saw it all and the water was still really high. We're starting to build an ark in preparation for the next deluge.
We had a really good time up there - sorry we didn't get to see you Barbara - hope you're beginning to recover.
Mary, I don't know what's worse, melting in the Cyprus sun or still having the heating on in England at the end of June!
Nicholas, make sure you contact Helen's friend, she's really looking forward to seeing you all.
I'll try and phone tomorrow lunch time (English time) and catch up with everything.
Photos were really great and it was lovely to see you all looking so happy.
Love to all xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello chickadees!
I am perched on the kitchen stools whilst my legs bleed but no sympathy required! My eyes looked like this smiley earlier today. Twas awfy nippy but I am fine now. I can reach the keyboard so will manage a wee message. Ishy has given you most of the news for the moment. It was so nice to hear you guys this morning. Your next trip sounds really great. I am so jealous cos all we have is torrential rain but no flooding thank god! I hope everyone's families and friends out there are not suffering under these awful conditions.
Dina - I will try to phone you this evening! Hope you are keeping well and ready for your travels. xxx
Matt - Thanks for the love and the happy thoughts. It really does help you know! xxx
Nick - When the going gets tough, go find a tree! There will be some real ancient ones out there. xxx
Shaznay - Spoke to your Gran briefly and that is fine with her. I am missing you and sending lots of love to you. I am being forced back to my bed now! Ah it's a hard life for some....Talk soon. Mwah.xxxxx

Hello my dear Sharon!
Just a little note to say that the adventures of housekeeping for your mum are a rollercoaster ride. You know that I am no good at doing anything new so your mum is typing this for me! Today I could not bear to watch her getting out 64 staples. I ran and got the ice pack after the first leg was done but oooooh it was a sore one... and that was just looking. My new name is Angelina Ancell after watching Mr & Mrs Smith the other night( load o waaash) - my expolits of running through the house and forward rolling over the bed to get the phone when it rings, then flipping it open but I was too shy to speak not to mention that I had no breathe left!!!! Your poor mum was speechless too but that was cos she was laughing so much she added to the washing one more time....The poor washing machine is so overworked that we have had to go online and order another...the original was truly fecked! You should have seen the mess of the floors in the kitchen and bathroom after the engineer had tried to repair it. Of course in the bathroom it just added to the spray tan and bleach that you threw all over the floor....The carpet lady has just been and nearly has all the marks gone..just a little swan remaining..how lovely!
Well I have to go off to work now... the library is calling. I have threatened your mum on pain of death - well maybe that's a tad strong - but I will be removing her poles if she does not stay in bed until I return. Please know that she is doing so well when you consider that it has only been two weeks. Please know that I will stay for as long as it takes. She will have me demented, possibly bordering on mental the longer her rehab takes but it's good fun and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Take care of yourself and much love to you, Ishy xxx

Yo wordup peace out brethren....
Great to hear from you earlier Nick, and we will see you at 12 tomorrow at the Opera House. (That sounds well exotic and cool). Hope the others aren't too hungover, but no worries either way...
I know I've emailed most people this, but PAY ATTENTION... This could change your lives forever. Maybe you could house some strange Argentine loner or a new and unknown Swedish fella. Or maybe you fancy a free trip somewhere, uh?...
