The woman had gone out when we came to check out which was really annoying as we wanted to arrange a lift with her to da nang instead we had to get a taxi which was really expensive in hindsight we should have got a bus straight to hue but o well. We als wanted to go to a place called marvle mountain on the way but couldnt because we were in a taxi he also went a very long way round people always say demand the meter but we prefer arranging a price beforehand because you actually have an idea of how much you need to pay rather then by the meter when you have no idea where you are anyway.
Da nang was much bigger then we anticipated and it was so hot that we couldnt be bothered trying to get to the beach. We managed to walk to the station and book our train tickets for the next day but they only had hard seats left. We then ate lunch at a local restaurant which have stupidly small tables and chairs. We were very fed up, we went back to the hotel which was really nice and watched transformers and cars 2 . They have really good movie channels in Vietnam. We tried to find a place to eat and came across a really nice place. Where we were staying was obviously not where tourists would stay as everyone kept staring at us and a kid on the opposite table kept laughing and hiding at us. It started to rain and again we hadnt brought our macs luckily we hadnt walked far and didnt get too wet.

Dad Farley Hi Dan,Grainne - entertaining reading!! Was worried you (Dan) might get stuck in a tight tunnel with that little podge (Abbie comment!). Do tuktuk drivers brawl with taxi drivers like in Tunisia? Woulda loved an ariel photo of you crossing the road inside a swarm of scooters. Our trip to Paris was good and far more civilised than what you're experiencing - we had electric dishwasher! Photo's are great too. Hope your coping with the heat. Mum's missing ya both like crazy. Enjoy the remainder.....Dad Farley x x
