when we got to prague it was pissing down with rain suprise suprise. and so we walked to the hostel looking like complete idiots in our waterproofs and our backpacks had there own waterproofs so we looked ridiculous. we checked in and thought that the hostel wasnt that bad and the bunkbed for once was high enough to properly sit up on the bottom bunk we went out to explore prague and go the metro to the castle climbed like 150 stairs we were so tired and had no idea what was going on that we got to the top and then went all the way back down. to charles bridge. charles bridge suprise suprise was in scaffolding aswell. we then decided to go oon the barcrawl last minute and arrived pretty late so one of the guys working there had to walk us to the second bar asking where we were from we said leeds and he said o youll know where im from and he had a harrogate grammer tshirt on. which was very weird when he found out we were from fishers e strated reeling names and names of people he knew from aidans that we had only vaguely knew the names of. eventually he asked who we knew from harrogate grammer....silence...... the bar crawl was ok.... we eventually got to the last club which is the biggest in eastern europe and it was hugggggeeeee it had like 5 or 6 floors and eac floor had two or three rooms and a set of toilets. one of the floors was calledf black music which was funny as you would never get something like that in england as they are too politically correct. i loved that room as it pretty much only played rhianna and beyonce. after leaving the club we walked home which took like an hour and everyone kept looking at us probably because we were going home at half one and thats the time most czech start a night but we were knackered. waking up the next morning we realised how awful our hostel was it had one toilet and sink for at least 24 people and the sink was with the toilet so you couldnt even use that on its own. then the showers there were two together so we decided to go in at the same time as the doors were see through and didnt want and randomer getting in while one of us was showering. my shower didnt have a place for the shower head so 5 had to hold it but dans was much worse he tried to pull the door to shut the shower and it came off right in his hands!!! we made the 11am tour and had a welsh girl didnt really like her or the tour she didnt really know what she was talking about so when people asked questions she couldnt answer them. she did show us a church where theres a mummified arm hanging from the church roof but we couldnt go in because it was shut. and the jewish cemetary was weird it really high off the ground because they had so little room to put the dead they would pile them on top of each other, some had 12 people all on top of each other! and the space was tiny like the size of my garden. after the tour we went up to the castle and wen tin the cathedral because that was free and as we were walking in a woman was in front of us with an animal on her shoulder... we couldnt really tell what it was until we got close and it was a racoon!!! she was actually trying to bring a racoon into church! the guard stopped her though obviously racoons are not allowed inside :/ . wandered back down to charles bridge to buy souveniers. we then watched the astronmical clock move because the little people move every hour on the hour so we stood with like 2öö other people and it was rubbish! we thought the glockenspeil was pretty rubbish in munich but this was far worse. it has four little people death greed vainity and infidelity ansd there supposed to move but i couldnt even tell they were moving apart from death who rings his little bell then the apostlses all tke turns to look out the tiny window. rubishhhhhh. we then decided to get dinner and we saw a restaurant advertising three course for 7 euro and as wed practically run out of koruna we decided to eat there. it was SOOOO posh we sat down making loads of noise because the floor was made of glass and then looked at the menu there was no 7 euro menu advertised and the water cost about €4 !! i made dan ask for the € menu and if we could pay in euros. he said we couldnt. so we left. it was very embarassing getting up with the very loud glass floor making it all the worse but if they advertise it in euros and make you pay in czech they can choose there own exchange rat. we ended upeating at kfc ( its a good job im walking like 4 hours a day otherwise id be aft by now!) simply because it had unlimited drink and we were dehydrated!! we then collected our bags and headed for the night train to krakow which we didnt need to buy a reservation for yay!
