Today we got up really early as Greg had told us about this peak to go to and we should try get there for sunrise as it was amazing! So we left the campsite about 6.15am (yyyyaaaawwwwnnnn) and made our way to te mata peak. Hmmm wasnt quite how we planned it, the boys got lost (although nothing to do with chucky this time!) and we had to ask for directions! So the sun rise was at 5 to 7 and we got there maybe 3 mins past 7 which was a shame! The sun was still pretty low and got some good photos anyway. Left and made our way to taupo where we stopped for breakkie. Nice wee place, has a McDonald shaped like a plane which was pretty cool! From there we went onto wai o topu thermal world. We had been before but took the boys to see it. Its like natural mud pools, hot pools etc gadz it was bloody stinking! The sulphur makes it smell of rotten eggs, I boked a few times lol! Spent an hour or so there then made our way to rotorua and got a campsite. Then we headed to the polynesian spa, which has 4 natural hot pools outside, so we chilled there for a bit which was good! Went back to campsite and the boys went to a Maori experience night. Me and Graeme decided we had ate out too much so we had soup and bread in Conrad ( the campervan, can't remember if I told you we named him!). The boys got in about 11pm and they had a great night at the maori experience and had a hungi, which is where they cook food underground!
