- Sunday 27th November
Started work today which was good! It's a clothes shop for older ladies but very stylish as well! there was me, another new girl Kate and the manager Anne Marie so as it was my first day I was just putting clothes etc away and helping customers! Everyone seemed nice so that was good and good to get working again! Saturday night we just stayed in and watched some tele then I was working again on Sunday, and Graeme went a cycle to Raglan with Jonathan and Julie. Think he was pretty knackered, it's aout 55 km so quite far! Norman picked the up at raglan so they only had to go one way! Sunday night we just chilled out again, watched a film so relatively quiet weekend! The rest of the week Graeme was working, I worked tues and wed and got trained on the tills which was good, easy to get a hang of! And the customers are nice, always wanting help which is probably easier as younger people maybe wouldn't be as friendly! And they all seem to pick up on my Scottish accent which is funny! We went a cycle on tuesday night again just around Hamilton, was good to see different places! And Graeme showed me a few sites that he has delivered doors to! I was off on Friday so I went round and visited Norman ( julie's dad) who was pleased to see me! He just stays round the corner and I was round for nearly 3 hours! Just got talking and he was showing me all his old photos which was good! Friday night we went for dinner then to the cinema to see the new twilight film which was good! And think Graeme secretly enjoyed it and loves vampires now lol! Saturday I was working and Graeme went and sorted out some bank stuff and chilled! Sunday we headed to Auckland to the Santa parade which was awesome! We met up with Clare (graemes cousin) and watched it with her. I was roasting, about 21 degrees and took about an hour to pass and some of the floats were so good! Then we went for a coffee with clare and then for dinner which was good to catch up with her! Headed back down the road to Hamilton then bed! Had a good day at Auckland, although it was a bit strange watching Santa in the middle of roasting hot weather! Lol! Don't think we will get used to the fact that it is nearly Christmas and it's warm!but certainly will be different!
