Yesterday, I did some homework, then we went to Todos Santos. At Todos Santos, we went to the "Hotel California", which is the one that the Eagles sang is about. At the Hotel California, there is some beautiful artwork and architecture. In the gift shop I bought some gifts for my family. We went across the street to do some shopping. There was a beautiful leather shop and some of the cowboy boots had my heart! This whole trip I have wanted to find a nice hammock. As we were walking back to the car this guy was selling hammocks. I asked how much for the white one and he said 1000 pesos. Obviously, I wasn't going to do that, so Nancy helped me bargain and I got it for 25 Canadian. I am proud. Thank you Nancy. As we were driving to Playa Los Cerritos, I looked out the window and saw a horse at the gas station. I told Ed to pullover and sure enough I got a picture with the sweet beautiful horse. The horse wasn’t tied up, had a small dog on its back, and the guy was feeding it Redbull. At Playa Los Cerritos, the waves were at least 20 ft in height. Lots of people were body surfing and regular surfing. Heather, Nancy, and I went swimming. Because the ground was flat where the water washed up after collapsing, the water would build up to be 3 ft deep in 20 seconds. When it started to come up, a wave would form from the shore. It was like Moses kept on splitting the sea. So when we got the boogie boards, Heather and I tried body surfing. At first we didn’t know how to do it. Then Heather’s board snapped so she just followed me out. Later on, after a few attempts to get the waves to take me to shore, this family came up and gave me a lesson. After that I was a pro! It was so much fun, especially when the wave that we were on built up and I got sent right to shore.
After that we went to Cabo to eat lunch at The Office. There I went swimming and the water was so majestic. There were tons of boats and one cruise ship.
When we finished eating, we went to the Grande Solmar Hotel where Ed and Heather go to, and the staff there remembered them. Ed took Nancy and I for a tour and it was super cool. I realized that they have one of those pools that is an infinity pool. Personally, that was my first time {that I can remember } swimming in one which had a swim up bar with tables and stools in the water. So as I swam past, a mom was sitting on a stool with the boy who was under water. When he got up he put a piece of pizza in his mouth and the mom just said “I am going to the hot tub, Grab the pizza lets go!” The pool was 3 ft deep, so the kid had his swim goggles on and is trying the keep the pizza out of the water, never mind his head. That was one of the best things I have ever heard.
Later on we went and met Nancy’s friend Nadia and her family. We went for dinner with them at their fancy hotel right on the beach beside The Office. Cam and I went for a walk before we sat down to dinner which was quite tasty. About halfway through, Cam told me to go play with the group of younger children so I did. One was three, the other two were six. I started playing tag with them and one of the six year olds started talking about seeing these whales on the boat and out of no where the other little boy said “ I saw a bumble bee!!’’ . That was so awesome and funny at the same time.
