This week we stayed at Pontins in camber sands with our home ed co-op. The kids have had a great time running around with their friends, playing at the beach, and attending "night parties" in the club. Jon, Mamie and Matt were all finalists in a dance competition, but each of them were robbed of the medals. Ruby was a game show contestant in the basil brush show (everyone's favourite night by far). We also went swimming and played miniature golf.

Bodiam castle was fascinating and I loved the talks on medieval medicine and cleaning with herbs. Unfortunately the children did not love that part
We had a great time at Drusilla's animal park today. The day started with an animal handling session. The kids were really happy to learn about and touch the corn snake and the fat tailed gerbil. They were much less happy about the giant millipede though! As well as animal enclosures the park also has a great play park area and "hello kitty land" which the children loved.
We had a great day out at Hastings today, visiting the smugglers caves, Hastings castle and the aquarium. The aquarium has a great Pacific octopus that was fascinating to watch. There was a handling session too and the children go to pet a bearded dragon. Our favourite was the shark and Ray tank as a naughty Angel shark decided to splas...
We visited Rye today on our way to camber sands. It's a beautiful town with a rich history. Lila was scared and couldn't stay in the presentation at the heritage centre, but loved walking up the cobbled "mermaid street". We also found an amazing Italian place called S! Or simply Italian. Well worth a visit for that alone.
