Saw some pictures on dad's camera of the trip around Ayers Rock, they were so funny! Mum looks hilarious.
Hope you are getting on ok. xxx

"we stumbled across a wild kookaburra sitting beside an old gum tree - really!"
Can't wait to see a picture of that (if you have one). I'll be speaking to Mum and Dad about their trip when I'm home at the weekend.

Hi Grace,
Sounds like you will all have a very interesting couple of weeks exploring Sydney and Ayer's Rock etc. Looking forward to hear how your travels go!
How exciting that Stephen and Moira are in Australia with you.

You went to Ramsey Street?! I WANT TO GO!!! I spend a day a few weeks ago refreshing myself on everything that's happened in the last 10 years since I last watched it and now i'm slightly hooked again lol
Thank you very much for the postcard you sent us girls. I hope you have a wonderful time with your Ma & Pa!

Grace!
It sounds like you are still having an absolutely fantastic time, so exciting to be able to read all about everything you get up to. And whilst I fear that you will never ever get the hang of Facebook it seems as though blogging is really your forte! Are you going to be making a visit to the actual Ramsay Street while you're there?! If you do then you'll have to make sure you get plenty of pictures to show us on your return.
All is well here in Birmingham - the uni hosted the final leaders' debate for the general election last night so uni was a hive of activity with police everywhere and snipers all along the roof of the Aston Webb. Mike got to experience the mayhem first hand as he was down there filming for Midlands Today with the one and only Nick Owen! I am still pretending to work hard, I guess I should get back to it really as I have a presentation to write and prepare for next week, eek! Looking forward to the next installment.
All our love xxxxxxxxxxx

Hey Gracie!
Let us know when you get to Australia...I can't believe you're finally leaving NZ! And yes please, I would LOVE a possum. I googled them too and as long as they're eating they look cute too :-) I googled 'cute possum' and a baby one came up with a pink bow on it's little head! awwwww :-)
I can't believe you slept in that prison... That would freak the hell out of me! And a 30 year old cat doesn't sound right - are you sure it wasn't a ghost?!

Hi Grace,
Just read your most recent blog following your travels to see the volcanoes. You are really seeing a lot of fascinating geographical things. Hope to see some pictures of the volcanoes soon. Think you were very brave going so close to them! Safe travels.
