Hello everyone,

A very quick update from me here, I'm in Mount Rushmore at the moment. I'm really enjoying my trip across the States. We've travelled a long way since leaving Chicago, across Wisconsin, Minnesota and now into South Dakota - a very long State. The scenery is amazing, its the heart of cowboy and Indian country and the North America Great Plains, there are praries and corn fields stretching as far as the horizon. We stopped at Badlands National Park today - very interesting rock formations, and have just gone on a night hike to see Mount Rusmore lit up - we are staying just below it and will explore properly tomorrow. There is some interesting wildlife around here - lots of prarie dogs (very exciting since I spent so long watching them at London Zoo), eagles, deer, chipmunks and hopefully some bears and wolves soon!

We are leaving Mount Rushmore the day after tomorrow and head over to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone so I will try and update more here although we really are in the middle of nowhere!
